Course Overview
What is GAMSAT?
The Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) is an admissions test required for entry to graduate medical programs in Australia, and to some postgraduate medical programs in the UK.
The test consists of 3 sections: Reasoning in Humanities and Social Science, Written Communication, and Reasoning in Biological and Physical Sciences.
Entire test takes 5 hours and 15 minutes.
It is also accepted by Duke-NUS as an alternative to the MCAT.
A good GAMSAT is above 65, with an accompanying 80th percentile placement or better.
79% of students are in the 90th percentile!
gamsat Test Format
The test consists of 3 sections: Reasoning in Humanities and Social Science, Written Communication, and Reasoning in Biological and Physical Sciences.
 
Section I: Reasoning in Humanities and Social Science
Interpretation and understanding of ideas in social and cultural contexts.
 
Section II: Written Communication
Produce and develop ideas in writing, pertaining to both socio-cultural issues, as well as more personal and social issues.
 
Section III: Reasoning in Biological and Physical Sciences
Problem solving within a scientific context, using first-year university knowledge of Chemistry and Biology, and knowledge of Physics taught up to age 18.

Benjamin graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in Medical Sciences. He has over 3 years of experience tutoring high school students in STEM subjects. Even in his undergraduate years, Benjamin has provided personalised guidance and interview preparation to students applying to Oxbridge and medicine courses. In particular, he is proficient at the BMAT and UCAT tests.
