Getting into a medical school is extremely competitive. Apart from demonstrating exceptional academic grades in science subjects such as chemistry and biology, and showing evidence of commitment towards this career path, most A-List schools would require some form of entry examinations for you to even be considered. In this section, we will cover the various entry examinations required for all you aspiring future medical professionals.

Looking to study undergraduate Medicine in the UK? Either BMAT or UCAT (formerly UKCAT) is required, depending on the universities you are applying to.

Want to complete your Medicine undergrad in Australia? For most Australian universities, submitting an ISAT score is required. ICON+ also runs a workshop on PQA, which some Australian universities require instead.

Trying for a place at the Lee Kong-Chian School of Medicine? To apply for the NTU-Imperial programme you must submit a BMAT result.

Already graduated? If you want to enter Medicine as a graduate, the tests required varies from country to country. MCAT is used for the US, Canada, Duke-NUS and most Australian Universities. GAMSAT is used by Australian Universities, some UK Universities and in recent years, Duke-NUS.
