How is the Recession Changing Students’ College Plans?

In a recent news article, U.S. News and World Report reports that a recent survey found that the recession is forcing more than 70% of prospective American college students to alter their plans for the upcoming school year.

According to the survey, 53% of students are considering attending a less expensive school and 47% are planning to work as first year students. Only 28% of the respondents said that the recession would have no influence on their enrollment plans.
