• Want to read for a Law degree in the UK? A majority of UK Law courses accredited by the Singapore Ministry of Law require you to submit LNAT results.
  • Applying to study Law in Singapore? Singapore University of Social Science (formerly SIM) requires an LNAT result for both their LLB and JD law degrees.
  • Looking to study Law as a graduate in the States? Taking the LSAT is an entrance requirement.

The LNAT is an admissions aptitude test required by applicants (international and local) to eight university law programs in the UK: University of Birmingham, University of Bristol, Durham University, University of Glasgow, King’s College London, University of Nottingham, University of Oxford, and University College London; as well as by Singapore University of Social Science and NUI Maynooth (mature entry only).

The LNAT is a 2-hour and 15-minute long exam that tests comprehension, interpretation, analysis, synthesis, induction, and deduction. It consists of a multiple-choice section and an essay-writing section where individuals choose from one of three questions. Examinees can only take the exam once and must sit the test in the year they are applying. Following completion of the test, a candidate’s scores and essay are sent directly to the universities the candidate ticked when registering for the test. The essays are not marked but retained for the university admissions committee to read.

The highest possible score is 42 and the international average is about 21.1, while the majority of our LNAT students score above 30!

The LSAT is required for admission to law school in the US. It is administered by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) four times each year and aspiring candidates are only allowed to take it thrice in a span of two years.

The LSAT is a half-day exam which is composed of six sections: four sections that are in multiple-choice (Reading Comprehension, Analytical Reasoning, and two Logical Reasoning sections), one “variable” section and a writing section. These last two are unscored – the unscored variable section is not revealed until after the test, and your writing sample is sent to your chosen law schools. All sections are designed to assess the reading comprehension, logical and verbal proficiencies of the candidate.

Valid for 5 years, LSAT scores range from 120 to 180 and are usually released three to four weeks later via email. The majority of our LSAT students score 165 and above!
