- Still deciding between graduate school and business school? If you are considering other postgraduate degrees in addition to an MBA, then the GRE may be the test for you. It is increasingly valid for many MBA programmes, in addition to a wealth of other postgraduate courses.
- Focused on an MBA? GMAT is accepted for the greatest number of MBA programmes and even post-graduation, GMAT results may be required for careers such as investment banking or management strategy consulting.
GMAT is a standardized computer-based assessment that helps business schools, such as Harvard, Wharton, LSB, INSEAD, HKUST, NUS, NTU and SMU, assess the qualifications of their applicants, by serving as one predictor of academic performance in an MBA or in other graduate management programs. Increasingly, the GRE is accepted as an alternative to the GMAT—good news for those who are more Verbal-inclined.
The GMAT measures verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills. The Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) section is the first section to be answered. Then the Quantitative section, the Verbal Ability section and the Integrated Reasoning section follow respectively. From July 11 2017 candidates can choose from three possible orders on the day of the exam. In general, the GMAT takes about four hours to complete.
Scores are valid for five years. The maximum score that can be achieved on the GMAT is 800. The global mean score is 538.5. However, most of our GMAT students score between 600 and 700, with 30% scoring above 700!
The GRE General Test is a standardized computer-based assessment that helps graduate schools assess the qualifications of their applicants, by serving as one predictor of academic performance in master’s and doctoral programs. For the MBA or other graduate management programs, the GMAT is accepted too and is often preferred to the GRE.
