ICON+ was vital in familiarizing me with the college application process, which I initially thought was really nerve-wrecking. Teacher reference letters, personal statements, secondary school reports, how can one person handle so much? My councilor in ICON+ helped me all the way in keeping pace with this application process. She reviewed countless drafts for the many personal statements I had to write. This being the first time I applied for college, I knew virtually nothing about what the colleges were looking for in a personal statement. ICON+ truly taught me how to bring the best out of the things I did in school and present myself as a holistic student. Now that I have gotten admission to college, I constantly reflect back and ask myself, "What would I have done without ICON+?"
