It’s important to note that you cannot take the SAT I and the SAT II Subject tests on the same day. You need to book these exams on two separate exam dates. Fees-wise, as an international candidate you will be charged USD$78, which converts to around SGD$96 per exam.
So what’s the best time to take the SAT? If you are applying for the Fall 2012 intake, deadlines for US universities are going to start from October 2011 continue all the way until March 2012, depending on the particular school. A word of advice: It’s much easier to have completed your SAT exam when you start applying for universities. Revising for the SAT whilst working through your applications, going to school and trying to have a life are very difficult to balance. If this is not your final year of school, then you are less stressed about time, but remember that most students need a good three to four months to fully prepare for the SAT I.
