Once a year and normally in November. Test dates will be available on the British Council website. Registration for test normally starts in August. After certain date, late registration fee will be imposed.

For regular registration, the exam fee is S$450.

Students have to fill up the application form and egister by post or in person. Full examination fee is payable to complete the registration. 

BMAT results are only accepted by universities in the year candidates apply for university. E.g. candidates should sit the BMAT in November 2011 if they are applying to start university in 2012 or for a deferred place in 2013.

All candidates applying to the following institutions/courses are required to take BMAT:

No. Calculators may not be used in the BMAT.

Each question, in Sections 1 and 2, is worth one mark. Total raw marks for each section are converted to the BMAT scale, which runs from 1 (low) - 9 (high). Scores are reported to one decimal place.

Typical BMAT candidates will score around 5.0, which equates to approximately half marks. The best candidates will score around 6.0, and a few exceptional candidates will score higher than 7.0. 

Section 3 essays are double marked. Each examiner gives a score for quality of content on the scale of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and a score for quality of written English on a scale of A, C, E. 

If the two marks for quality of content are the same, or occupy adjacent positions on the scale, the average of the two marks is reported. If the two marks for quality of written English are the same, or occupy adjacent positions on the scale, the scores are combined in the following way: AA = A, AC = B, CC = C, CE = D and EE = E. 

If there is a larger discrepancy in the marks, the essays are marked for a third time, and the final mark awarded is checked by the Senior Assessment Manager.

For example, an essay given a 4C by one examiner and 4A by the other will receive a final score of 4B; an essay given 3C by one examiner and 2C by the other will receive a mark of 2.5C.

Yes. A refund of 70% will be considered on a case-by-case basis if supported by original certificate from a recognized medical practitioner. No refund will be given for any other reasons including clashes of dates with local examinations, personal and holiday arrangements.

About 3 weeks later. 

From 2009 paper results no longer be issued; candidates will be able to download their results by logging into the Cambridge Assessment online results extranet. Information about how to retrieve results will be provided to candidates at the time of the test. An explanation of the result will also be available to download.

You can come to our centre personally or do the registration online. Registration is confirmed when payment is received. You can choose to pay by cash, NETS, Visa/Mastercard or cheque.

As the duration of our programs is short, a student pass is not necessary. Our international students have comfortably completed our programs using a tourist visa. If required, we will provide you with the necessary documentation needed for an extension of your visa.

For rescheduling of lessons, students are required to give ICON+ a minimum notice of 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson, failing which would result in forfeiture of the lesson.
