Hello Joshua! You can find great film and stage acting programs in both California and New York City. Generally speaking, however, California is the "scene" to learn film acting, and NYC is the place to study stage acting. You need to go to each school's website or get more information on each school to see what type of acting program it provides. Also take into consideration that some schools will offer you a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and others will offer you a Bachelor of Arts upon graduation. BFA programs tend to focus more of your coursework on theater or your chosen arts field than do BA programs. Good luck!
